Rulon and Eric Hunsaker are perfectly suited to their profession. The restoration of several furniture items I've taken to them for fixing has been amazing. Like lots of people who live with family antiques, I've learned to live with their unique peculiarities acquired from years of hard use: wobbly legs, stuck drawers, wrong replaced hardware, bad finishes. You can live with them, because, like a family member, it's who they are. It doesn't have to be. The Hunsakers can eliminate all issues making antiques true to their original selves matching old and new finishes, even to perfection. Results on my set of Samuel Giebner grain-painted chairs, made in MERCER in the 1800s, are amazing. Eric seems to be the master artist of finishes. It's a pleasure to own the chairs now -- and safe to sit on, too. Rulon used to work at the former Neshannock Woods in Leesburg where I learned of his high caliber repair work. Prices? CHEAP. Especially so if you're like me, lacking the tools, know-how or artistry to make repairs right. The Hunsakers are offering a much needed repair business in the area for people who care about their antiques. Trust them. Use them. I do. -- Bob McDowell, Grove City PA (January 12, 2019)
